Tata Tigor Buzz edition launched, gets better looks & more features

Tata Motors has launched a special edition variant of the Tigor compact sedan. Called the Tigor Buzz, this new version comes with some mild cosmetic modifications that enhance its overall looks, and a few feature additions as well. However, no mechanical changes have been made to the Tata Tigor Buzz edition.

It is important to note that Tata Motors had launched a similar special edition variant of the Tigor’s hatchback sibling – the Tiago Wizz, in September last year.

The Tigor Buzz is priced at Rs. 5.68 lakh for the petrol model and Rs. 6.57 lakh for the diesel version (ex-showroom, Delhi). Since the special edition is based on the Tiago XT, but gets a few additional features, it has been priced at a premium of around Rs. 12,000 on the regular XT variants.

For the additional cost, the Tigor Buzz comes with blacked out roof and ORVMs, which help the car to stand out from other regular variants. The front grille gets coloured inserts, while the wheel covers get a dual-tone treatment along with some red inserts.

There are a few subtle interior changes as well. These include red detailing around the AC vents and new fabric upholstery. Meanwhile, the equipment list is identical to the Tigor XT model, which includes a 2DIN audio system from Harman Kardon, rear parking sensors, anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brake force distribution (EBD), and corner stability control (CSC). However, the variant misses out on front airbags, which are on offer only on the top end XZ trim.

No mechanical changes have been made to the Tata Tigor Buzz edition. It thus continues to be offered with 2 engine options. The petrol gets a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder unit rated at 85 PS and 114 Nm of torque, while the diesel versions come with 70 PS and 140 Nm. While the regular Tigor is available with a 5-speed AMT unit as well, the Tigor Buzz edition only gets a 5-speed manual transmission.
