Official bookings of the new 2019 Maruti Baleno Facelift have started in India. The updated model is expected to be launched in India on January 29. Interested customers can now book the new Maruti Baleno 2019 facelift at any NEXA dealership by paying a token amount of Rs. 11,000.
Maruti Suzuki hasn’t revealed details about any expected changes on the new Baleno hatchback. However, we expect it to come with some minor exterior design alterations and a few feature additions. The facelift has already been spotted testing on public roads. These spy shots have revealed that the new 2019 Baleno will come with a revised front grille with chrome inserts, and redesigned front and rear bumpers. Headlamp assemblies are expected to be carried forward without any changes, with projectors and LED daytime running lights limited to the Alpha trim.
Maruti Suzuki has mentioned that it has worked on the updated Baleno to improve its safety. The updated model will thus come with standard speed alert system, co-driver seat belt reminder and rear parking sensors. It is worth noting that the current model of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno already comes with ABS with EBD, dual airbags and ISOFIX child safety seat anchors as standard across the range.
No mechanical changes are expected to be made on the new 2019 Baleno. Maruti Suzuki will thus continue to offer the 1.2-litre petrol and 1.3-litre power plants. Both these engines come with a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard, and a CVT automatic as an option.
