Mahindra KUV 100 Anniversary Edition launched

Mahindra has launched Anniversary edition of the KUV 100 in India. This special edition marks the completion of 1 year of sales for the micro-crossover. The new model comes with various cosmetic updates, but is mechanically identical to the standard trim. It is available only with the top-end K8 variant.

Let’s see what all is on offer with the 2017 KUV anniversary special edition.

Mahindra KUV 100 Anniversary Edition – Exterior changes

Changes on the outside include a new, dual-tone colour theme. The special edition KUV is available with a gloss black roof, while the body paint can be opted in two colours: Flamboyant Red and Dazzling Silver. In addition to the roof, the car’s A, B and C pillars, upper frame as well as ORVM caps have been finished in metallic black. The KUV anniversary edition also gets larger 15-inch wheels. On the other hand, the K6 and K6+ trims will now be available with 14-inch wheels.

2017 Mahindra KUV 100 – Interior updates

Mahindra hasn’t changed much on the inside of the special edition KUV 100. The dashboard layout is identical to the earlier model, though it now gets an all black treatment instead of the dual tone theme of the stock KUV. Additionally, the 2017 KUV 100 also comes with revised seat upholstery, which is also finished in black. The micro-crossover thus comes with a sporty, all-black cabin.

KUV 100 – Customization packages

Mahindra appears to be taking a leaf out of Maruti Suzuki’s book. The new KUV 100 Anniversary Edition will come with a range of customization packages and kits that will allow owners to give their unique touch to the car. This is similar to the strategy Maruti has practised with its recently launched hatchback crossover, the Maruti Ignis.

Following are the customization packages and accessories available with the KUV Anniversary edition:

  • Sporty Exterior
  • Sporty Interior
  • Premium Exterior
  • Premium Interior

Interestingly, the KUV 100 and the Ignis are currently the only true contenders in the niche segment of beefed up hatchbacks. As a result, Mahindra’s new KUV 100 looks to not only celebrate the car’s first year, but also respond to the threat imposed by the new kid on the block.

Mahindra KUV 100 Anniversary Edition – Colours on offer

Mahindra will be offering the KUV Anniversary edition in only two colours:

  • Flamboyant Red
  • Dazzling Silver

Both colours will get a dual tone treatment, i.e., the roof will be blacked out.

Mahindra KUV 100 Special Anniversary Edition – Price in India

The Anniversary Edition of the KUV 100 is available with the K8 variants, in both petrol and diesel guises. Prices of the anniversary edition are Rs. 13,000 more than the corresponding standard variant. As a result, ex-showroom Delhi prices are:

  • KUV100 Petrol Anniversary Edition – Rs. 6.37 lakh
