Honda Activa 125 BS-6 model to launch on September 11

The Honda Activa will receive a new variant on September 11, 2019. This new variant will come with a revised styling and feature list. However, the most important change will be under the skin, as it will become the first BS-6 compliant model in the Activa lineup. The new variant in question, the Honda Activa 125 BS-6, will likely be the most expensive model to be ever sold under the Activa moniker.

Honda had unveiled the Activa 125 BS-6 version a few weeks ago. As a result, we already know how this new variant will look like. While the cosmetic changes might look minuscule at first, closer inspection reveals some smart details added to the Activa BS-6. The headlamp unit, front apron, as well as side body panels are all new. Additionally, the Activa 125 BS-6 gets a new instrument cluster that houses a digital readout for the range, average & instantaneous fuel consumption, Total Trip distance, clock, ECO indicator, service due indicator and side stand indicator.

Honda has added some features as well to the new Activa. It is thus expected to come with an external fuel filler cap, a noiseless starter system, front glove-box, idle start-stop, and a pass-light switch. A leaked document suggests that the new Activa 125 BS-6 version will measure 1,850 mm in length, 707 mm in width, 1,170 mm in height, while having a wheelbase of 1,260 mm. This will make it slightly longer, wider and taller than the current model.

Honda hasn’t officially revealed the engine specification of the new model. However, a few reports suggest that the BS-6 compliant Activa 125 will be powered by a 124 cc, single cylinder petrol unit. This powerplant will come with Honda’s PGM-FI (programmed fuel injection) technology. Additionally, presence of Honda‚Äôs Enhanced Smart Power (eSP) technology is expected to provide an optimum combination of performance and efficiency.
