The 2018 Ducati Scrambler Mach 2.0 has been launched in India at a price of Rs 8.52 lakh (ex-showroom, pan India). This marks another introduction to the Scrambler lineup, which also received the Scrambler Cafe and Scrambler Desert Sled earlier this year. As a result, the Ducati Scrambler range in India now includes a total of 6 models.
The newest entrant, the Ducati Scrambler Mach 2.0, is essentially a cosmetically spruced up version of the regular Scrambler. It gets a new paint scheme which is designed by the popular Californian designer – Roland Sands. This paint scheme is a throwback to the 1970s. Moreover, the paint tone has been matched to the Bell Cross helmet design of the 2018 Ducati Scrambler accessories and apparel range.
Dimensionally, the Scrambler Mach 2.0 is similar to the regular model. It scales 2,165 mm in length, 845 mm in width and 1,150 mm in height. The wheelbase is 1,445 mm long while the seat height is 790 mm. The Mach 2.0 weighs 170 kg (without fuel). It has a fuel tank capacity of 14 litres.
The 2018 Ducati Scrambler Mach 2.0 is based on a tubular steel trellis frame. It is equipped with upside down (USD) forks from Kayaba at the front and an adjustable monoshock from Kayaba at the rear. Braking duties are handled by a single 330 mm disc at the front a 245 mm disc at the rear. ABS (anti-lock braking system) is standard with the Mach 2.0.
Features on offer with the newest Scrambler include LED front and rear lights, LED turn indicators, LCD instrument cluster and under seat storage with a USB charging port. It also gets low-slung, variable cross-section aluminium handlebars, a blacked-out side-mounted exhaust, a Flat Track Pro seat, and brushed engine and cooling fin covers.
The Ducati Scrambler Mach 2.0 is powered by a 803cc, L-twin cylinder engine that develops 72 bhp and 67 Nm of peak torque. It comes with a 6-speed gearbox with slipper clutch.
