Lamborghini Urus launched in India at Rs 3 Crore

Lamborghini has launched its Urus SUV in India at a price of Rs 3 crore (ex-showroom). The company had globally unveiled the SUV in December last year. Thus, the India launch has taken place within a month of its international introduction.

The Lamborghini Urus is claimed to be the world’s fastest SUV. With customers across the globe increasingly looking towards SUVs, various carmakers are introducing new products in this segment to keep their portfolio relevant. We recently saw Bentley introduce their first-ever SUV – the Bentayga for the same reason. Now, Lamborghini has joined the bandwagon and has brought its first-ever full production SUV – the 2018 Lamborghini Urus. However, this isn’t the first SUV from the Italian supercar maker, as it previously has sold a limited-run SUV called the LM002.

The Lamborghini Urus is based on the Volkswagen Group’s MLB Evo platform. As a result, it shares its underpinnings with other VW Group luxury SUVs like the Bentley Bentayga, Audi Q7 and Porsche Cayenne. To give a perspective of size, the Lamborghini Urus is 5,112 mm long, 2,016 mm wide and 1,638 mm tall. It is thus a proper Lamborghini in terms of huge dimensions!

Here are a few vital points about the Lamborghini Urus in India:
